Tonight | The Voice on Seven: new season launches with a major coach shake-up – The Voice on Seven returns Sunday 2 August 2026 at 7.00pm with a new season and one of the show’s biggest coaching changes.
The premiere is Seven’s lead entertainment play for Sunday night, putting the refreshed singing competition at the front of a schedule that also includes Farmer Wants A Wife Reunion and Commonwealth Games coverage.
For viewers, the immediate hook is the new coaching line-up. Tones And I joins Melanie C, Richard Marx, Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke as the series looks to reset the energy of the blind auditions.
The Voice Returns
Seven has positioned the new season as the biggest shake-up in the show’s history, giving the premiere extra weight beyond the usual launch-night search for standout singers.
The Voice remains one of Australian television’s most recognisable performance formats because it starts with sound rather than image. The blind auditions keep the focus on the voice first, before the coaches turn and the competition starts to take shape.
Tones And I brings a strong local success story to the panel, while Melanie C, Richard Marx, Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke give the series a mix of pop, rock, theatre, songwriting and international chart experience.
Seven’s Sunday Night
The 7.00pm launch gives The Voice the first major slot in Seven’s Sunday line-up before the night moves into Farmer Wants A Wife Reunion at 8.30pm.
