Kristin Chenoweth Leads New Cheerleading Comedy Stumble On Seven And 7plus – Kristin Chenoweth cheerleading comedy is heading to Australian screens this week, with the Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress starring in the hilarious new series Stumble, premiering Wednesday, 24 June on Seven and 7plus.
Best known for her roles in Wicked and Pushing Daisies, Chenoweth takes centre stage as Tammy Istiny, an elite cheerleading coach whose world is turned upside down when she is forced to start over with an entirely new team.
At the peak of her profession and accustomed to winning championships, Tammy suddenly finds herself leading a squad made up of lovable misfits, enthusiastic amateurs and athletes who appear destined for anything but success.
Determined to rebuild her reputation and prove she still has what it takes, Tammy sets out to transform the underdogs into genuine championship contenders. However, with clashing personalities, unconventional training methods and plenty of setbacks along the way, the road to success proves anything but easy.
Produced by Universal Television, Stumble comes from executive producers and writers Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof, with Jeff Blitz also serving as executive producer and director. Dana Honor and Monica Adama round out the executive producing team.
Combining heart, humour and plenty of cheerleading chaos, Stumble promises to deliver a feel-good comedy packed with underdog spirit and plenty of laughs.
Stumble premieres Wednesday, 24 June and will be available to stream from 6.00pm on 7plus.
