Kath and Kim anniversary special to air on Channel 7

Perth Now is reporting that the Kath and Kim anniversary special will air this year on Channel 7.

The two part special titled Kath and Kim: Our Effluent Life will celebrate 20 years of this iconic Australian favourite.

Gina Riley, Jane Turner, Magda Szubanski, Glenn Robbins and Peter Rowsthorn will all reprise their original roles for the two-part celebration to bring Australia a slice of their lives today, with never-before-seen moments and appearances from some familiar faces and special guests.

The special is a sneak peek into the their “most private nooks and crannies”.

The article does not make it explicitly clear what the special is but Seven has confirmed to TV Central that the special is not a full episode, but brand new ‘scenes’ have been filmed, mixed in with a celebration of the show (a ‘reunion’) for its 20th anniversary.
