Recap | First Kisses and Romantic Gestures Heat Up on Farmer Wants A Wife – Romance is beginning to bloom on Farmer Wants A Wife, with the farmers taking major steps forward in their search for lasting love.
Tonight on Seven and 7plus, two new farmers joined the journey as Farmers Jarrad and Zac met eight hopeful women during a series of speed dates before selecting five ladies each to continue the adventure back on the farm.
Meanwhile, sparks flew as each of the five farmers chose one woman for an intimate 24-hour date designed to strengthen their connections away from the group environment.
Farmer Dylan put his growing relationship with 23-year-old chocolate shop assistant Ally to the test by introducing her to his country lifestyle. The pair went horse riding before Ally met Dylan’s beloved grandparents.
“My nan and grandpa mean the world to me. If they hit it off, that’ll tick just another box and she’s been good at ticking boxes today,” Dylan said.
For Farmer Zac, romance took centre stage during his date with 25-year-old environmental scientist Grace. Hoping to impress, Zac prepared a homemade apple crumble before the conversation turned to whether their bond was developing into something more than friendship.
After receiving reassurance from Zac about his feelings, Grace made the first move, sharing the season’s latest romantic milestone with a kiss.
“A bit of mixed emotions going into this. It’s exciting. It’s scary. Definitely the first time I’ve cooked an apple crumble for a girl,” Zac admitted.
Farmer Jason’s date with 28-year-old veterinarian Beth took a more serious turn as the pair discussed the realities of building a future together. Jason revealed that dating single mothers had previously presented challenges due to relocation considerations.
“I think the major issue I’ve had is dating single mums. They can’t move for custody reasons, which is quite understandable. Being a mum, I hope Beth can move to the farm someday,” he said.
Reassuring Jason, Beth responded:
“I just want to let you know that there’s nothing really holding me back from coming out here.”
Farmer Jarrad embraced the romance of the occasion, planning a candlelit bonfire date for 31-year-old fertility nurse Carly.
“I’m so glad that I picked Carly. She is a quieter, sort of more reserved type of person. I’ve got a great connection with her. She’s very special,” he said.
Elsewhere, Farmer Alex surprised 30-year-old Eddy with a thoughtful gift — a gold pendant featuring mother of pearl, symbolising divine femininity. Touched by the gesture, Eddy was left feeling truly appreciated.
The farmers also finalised the women who would continue their search for love on the farm:
Farmer Alex: Delia, Eddy*, Gabbie, Rachel and Suzannah.
Farmer Dylan: Ally*, Lily, Renae, Scarlett and Tenille.
Farmer Jarrad: Brodie, Carly*, Cara, Georgia and Yvonne.
Farmer Jason: Beth*, Jessica, Jessie, Logan and Poppy.
Farmer Zac: Grace*, Jessica, Maya, Mieke and Miranda.
*24-hour date winners.
Sunday night’s episode promises even more drama as the remaining ladies arrive at the farms, bringing the reality of the experience into sharp focus. The farmers will also receive a surprise letter from host Natalie Gruzlewski that could change the course of their journeys.
Farmer Wants A Wife continues 7.00pm Sunday on Seven and 7plus.
