Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7 and 7plus S31E38 – the storylines for this Friday’s episode 38 airing 7pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

JOHANNA – GENEVA’S CREATIVE LIFE
If you love craft and upycling projects, you’ll know and love this social media sensation. Geneva Vanderzeil has built a business and life turning trash into treasure. She started her social media career almost 20 years ago as a DIY fashion blogger and, when she and her young family bought their first home in Brisbane, she brought her unique upcycling approach to her house, too. These days, Geneva does everything from home upcycling projects to DIY doll houses and she’s got a huge online presence, too. Johanna’s getting a personal tour of Geneva’s amazing upcycled home and finding out why she loves making old things new again.
DR HARRY – PICKING UP A CAVOODLE PUP
They’re the most popular dog breed in Australia and for good reason. Affectionate, friendly, hypoallergenic and cute-as-a-button, cavoodles make great pets. If you’re thinking of adding one to your family, Dr Harry’s got all the information you need before the cavoodle stork makes a visit to your place.
COLIN – SPICED GREEN EGGS
How do you like your eggs? If Colin has anything to do with it, the answer will be green and full of veggies. He’s showing you how to make an omelette with coriander, chilli, cumin and ginger. Filled with a zesty rocket and mint salad and topped with roasted peanuts, you mightn’t have tried eggs like this before, but you’ll be making them on repeat!

JULIET – IF TOYS COULD TALK
With Christmas in the very near future, the elves at Santa’s Toy Shop are working around the clock. But there’s another place, in the northern suburbs of Sydney, where a team of dedicated volunteers are working just as hard. The Peninsula Senior Citizens Toy Repair Group works to bring joy to thousands of children all over the world by repairing preloved toys. It’s a lot of work, but these volunteers love it…and there’s no end to what they can mend! Juliet’s here to help them out.
CHARLIE – SECRETS TO A SUCCESSFUL GARDEN
A great suburban backyard isn’t just about looks…gardens should perform well, too…and Charlie’s helping this garden, in Sydney’s inner west, work overtime! Louise and her family already have chooks and a mulberry tree, but they’re dreaming of upgrading their veggie patch this spring and summer. So, Charlie’s setting them up for veggie-growing success with a rustic DIY potting bench and shed…because growing veggies isn’t just about what you put into the ground, it’s about the prep work, too. The finished result not only looks great…it’ll help provide nourishment for the family for years to come.
CLARISSA – INDONESIAN CORN FRITTERS
Corn fritters are an Aussie brunchtime classic, but in Indonesia they’re served at any and all times of the day. Made with kaffir lime leaves and coriander, and served with a pear and cabbage salad, take one bite of Clarissa’s Indonesian corn fritters and you’ll be wanting them 24/7, too.

ADAM + MELISSA – A VIEW OF OFFICER CENTRAL
With no end in sight to Australia’s housing crisis, you might think you’ve been priced out of home ownership altogether, especially if you live in a big city like Melbourne. But 50km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, there’s a new suburb being created with hundreds of affordable homes on offer. It’s called Officer Central and there are also shops, schools and green spaces nearby. But what does living in a newly created suburb look like? And is it the right option for your family? Adam and Melissa are stopping by Officer Central to find some answers.
