Southern Cross Media Group appoints Adrian Goss as General Counsel – Southern Cross Media Group has appointed experienced media executive Adrian Goss to its executive leadership team as General Counsel.
Goss will join the company in October and take responsibility for its legal strategy, corporate governance, enterprise risk and commercial legal operations.
The appointment comes during a major period of integration for the group. Seven West Media merged with Southern Cross Media Group in January 2026, bringing the Seven Network, 7plus, LiSTNR, the Hit and Triple M networks and a substantial publishing portfolio under the same corporate structure.
Adrian Goss brings 25 years of media experience
Goss has more than 25 years of experience across legal, governance and executive leadership roles in television, audio, print and digital media. His career has covered the Australian and British markets, including work in corporate law, regulatory compliance and strategic mergers and acquisitions.
He is currently Vice President, Legal & Governance at Bauer Media Group in London. In that role, he has led legal and governance work across the company’s European audio markets.
Before joining Bauer, Goss spent more than 15 years with Are Media. His tenure culminated in the combined position of General Counsel, Company Secretary and General Manager of Corporate.
Goss said he was looking forward to joining Southern Cross Media Group at a pivotal point in its history.
“The opportunity to bring together my experience across audio, digital, publishing and television to lead the legal and governance strategy of a business with such significant reach and potential is enormously exciting.”
Kaycie Bradford takes new regulatory role
Southern Cross Media Group has also promoted Kaycie Bradford to the newly created position of Government & Regulatory Affairs Director. Her appointment takes effect on 26 October.
Bradford will lead the company’s engagement with government, regulators and industry organisations. Her remit includes relationships with the Australian Communications and Media Authority, Commercial Radio & Audio and Free TV Australia.
She brings more than 15 years of experience across media, government and corporate communications. Bradford previously worked as a television and radio journalist with 7NEWS and Southern Cross Austereo before becoming Seven’s Corporate Communications Director.
Her government experience includes serving as Chief of Staff to the NSW Minister for Emergency Services, Resilience and Flood Recovery during the 2022 flood emergencies. She has also worked as Director of Communications to the NSW Treasurer.
Leadership team strengthened
Chief Financial Officer Scott Butterworth said Goss stood out during a global recruitment search because of his commercial judgement, collaborative approach and understanding of the media sector.
Butterworth also said Bradford’s background in public policy and government made her well suited to guide the company’s regulatory agenda as the Australian media environment continues to evolve.
Both Goss and Bradford will report directly to Butterworth.
The latest appointments follow Southern Cross Media Group’s creation of other leadership positions across its expanded operations. TV Central recently reported that Chris Jones had been appointed Director of Sport.
