7plus Grows Audience 53% in June as Farmer Wants A Wife Leads the Way – The Seven Network’s 7plus has retained its position as Australia’s most-watched commercial free-to-air streaming service for the second straight month in June.
The strong result was driven by sport, news and entertainment, with Farmer Wants A Wife, AFL, 7NEWS and Home and Away helping power another month of major audience growth.
7plus captured a 45.4% share of commercial BVOD viewing in June. That included 46% in VOD and 45.1% in live streaming. Its all-people audience also grew 53%, while live streaming rose 71%.
The June result means 7plus has now ranked as Australia’s most-watched commercial BVOD service for eight of the past 12 months.
Farmer Wants A Wife delivers for 7plus
Farmer Wants A Wife was the standout performer for 7plus in June.
The hit Seven series increased its streaming audience by 71% year-on-year. In addition, every episode this season has attracted more than 400,000 viewers on 7plus.
The show’s strong performance helped build momentum across Seven’s entertainment slate. It also underlined the continued audience appeal of appointment viewing on streaming.
News, sport and entertainment drive growth
Beyond Farmer Wants A Wife, several major Seven brands also recorded strong year-on-year streaming growth in June.
7NEWS was up 81%, while The Chase Australia grew 79%. Home and Away increased by 68%, The Morning Show lifted 42% and Sunrise rose 39%.
Across the first six months of 2026, 7plus has been the fastest-growing commercial free-to-air streaming service. Its audience has grown 49% year-to-date compared with the same period in 2025.
Live viewing has increased 71%, while VOD viewing has lifted 20%.
Season and season-to-date highlights include AFL Premiership Season up 128%, 7NEWS up 99%, The Chase Australia up 98%, Australian Idol up 74%, Home and Away up 72% and Farmer Wants A Wife up 71%.
7plus continues big-screen momentum
Seven’s Director of 7plus Content and Strategy, Andrew Green, said the June result reflected the strength of the platform’s schedule.
“June was another strong result that reflects the breadth and quality of content on 7plus.”
More than 1.1 million Australians streamed 7plus every day in June. Meanwhile, more than 90% of viewing took place on connected TVs.
As a result, Seven says 7plus has become a true big-screen experience at the heart of the Australian living room.
