Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into Sydney for one-day fan pop-up – Spider-Man will take over part of Circular Quay on Tuesday, 6 October, with Sony Pictures staging a free one-day fan event to mark the film’s arrival on home entertainment.
The pop-up will run at the Southern Forecourt of the Overseas Passenger Terminal, giving Sydney families a school-holiday activity built around character appearances, games, photo opportunities and major giveaways. General admission is open from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
For Australian fans, the event connects the film’s cinema success with its next release window. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be available to buy or rent at home on the same day as the Circular Quay celebration.

What fans can do at the Circular Quay pop-up
Visitors will be able to meet Spider-Man, test their Spidey skills and pose for an upside-down Spider-Man-inspired photograph. Character appearances are scheduled between 10am and 2pm, while the broader event continues until 3.30pm.
Sony is also giving fans a distinctly Australian way to cool down during the spring school holidays. Attendees will be offered a free nostalgic spider drink as part of the day’s activities.
The first 50 people to arrive wearing Spider-Man gear will receive a bespoke merchandise pack that is not available to purchase. As the offer is limited, costumed fans hoping to secure one will need to arrive early.

Signed poster, PlayStation 5 and BRAVIA television among prizes
The event’s major prize is a signed Spider-Man: Brand New Day poster featuring the signatures of Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Sadie Sink. Director Destin Daniel Cretton and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have also signed the poster.
Additional prizes include a Sony BRAVIA 75-inch television and a Sony PlayStation 5. Exclusive merchandise will also be available through the pop-up’s games and giveaways.

Gabrielle Davies, Director of Marketing for Sony Pictures Television, said the event was designed to recognise the response from Australian audiences.
“Australian fans have shown Spider-Man: Brand New Day so much love, and this is our chance to celebrate with them. The day will be packed with plenty of fun, surprises and incredible prizes, and will be the perfect day for fans and families alike.”
“When the event wraps, the fun doesn’t have to, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day being available to buy or rent at home that same day,” Davies said.

About Spider-Man: Brand New Day
The film finds Peter Parker fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that no longer remembers him. The pressure of watching his old friends move on sparks a change Peter may not be able to control, but that transformation could also be the only way to stop an invisible new threat to the city and the people he loves.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. Destin Daniel Cretton directs from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, based on the Marvel comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor produced the film, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain serving as executive producers. Sony Pictures says the movie has passed $2.45 billion at the worldwide box office.
