ACE HOYTS Morley to open before the end of 2026 – Western Australian moviegoers will gain a new premium cinema destination when the transformed complex opens at Morley before year’s end.
The joint-venture venue brings the ACE and HOYTS brands together. Its opening will also expand the premium-screen and motion-seating options available to audiences in Perth’s north-eastern suburbs.
For Morley customers, the refurbishment is more than a change of branding. The project covers the auditoriums, seating, food service and the public areas guests use before a session.
Premium screens and motion seating
Xtremescreen will headline the launch line-up. The large-format auditorium is designed to give major releases a bigger screen and more immersive presentation.
D-BOX motion recliners will also be available. The seats move and vibrate in synchronisation with the film, adding a physical layer to action and adventure titles.
HOYTS APEX is scheduled to follow in the new year. That addition will further expand the cinema’s premium large-format offering after the initial opening period.
The staged introduction means the complex can welcome audiences before the complete premium line-up is finished. Xtremescreen and D-BOX will be available first, with APEX adding another choice after the summer opening period.
A choice of new seating
The auditoriums will include signature HOYTS recliners, lean-back seating and daybeds. The mix is intended to give customers different comfort and price options across the complex.
Select auditoriums will also include HOYTS XTRA. The upgraded row features larger premium recliners, seat warmers and wireless phone charging. Guests can order food and drinks for delivery to their seats.
Those additions are designed to make the cinema experience more flexible. Customers can choose a standard recliner, a more spacious XTRA seat, the movement of D-BOX or a daybed depending on the auditorium and session.
New foyer and Candy Bar
The transformation extends beyond the auditoriums. ACE HOYTS Morley will open with a new foyer and Candy Bar, creating a refreshed arrival area for moviegoers.
The venue is expected to be operating in time for the summer movie season. Upcoming event titles mentioned with the announcement include Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday.
Both films are the kind of large-scale releases suited to the new premium screens. Their inclusion also signals how the joint venture intends to position the Morley venue: as a destination for major cinema events as well as everyday sessions.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced. Further details about sessions, tickets and the complete auditorium line-up are expected closer to launch.
