UFC Fight Night on ESPN with local stars

UFC Fight Night on ESPN – ESPN will have UFC Fight fans covered ahead of a huge week of UFC action, where local stars Alexander Volkanovski, Robert Whittaker, Dan Hooker, Jack Della Madalena and Jimmy Crute all feature at UFC 290 in Las Vegas this Sunday.

Australia and New Zealand fighters dominate a bumper week in the UFC, as UFC 290 comes to Las Vegas for International Fight Week.

UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defends his crown against interim champion Yair Rodriguez, whilst Robert Whittaker faces off against South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis in the feature fights at UFC 290* this Sunday.

ESPN will have fight fans all over the action out of Las Vegas, as they preview the marquee matchups at UFC 290 and a fight card brimming with Australia and New Zealand’s top UFC talent – Volkanovski, Whittaker, Hooker, Della Madalena and Crute.

ESPN will have live coverage of the UFC 290: Volkanovski vs Rodriguez Prelims, which contains a stacked fight card filled with Aussie fighters.

The UFC 290: Volkanovski vs Rodriguez Prelims are LIVE on ESPN this Sunday, beginning at 10am AEST.

Australia’s rising star Jack Della Maddalena will tackle Josiah Harrell in the co-main event on the prelim card.

Della Maddalena is one of the fastest rising stars in the entire UFC, riding a five-fight winning run since entering the UFC Octagon and a 14-fight undefeated career streak.

The young Aussie is known for making a statement when entering the UFC Octagon, having finished his last four UFC fights inside the first round.

Fellow Aussie Jimmy Crute also features on the UFC 290: Volkanovski vs Rodriguez Prelim schedule, against Alonzo Menifield.

Crute is currently ranked #14 in the light-heavyweight division and Sunday’s showdown with Menifield is a rematch from UFC 284 in Perth.

The pair fought to a draw in their last encounter, and another tight affair is expected again when the two light-heavyweights collide in Las Vegas.

UFC veteran Robbie Lawler is also in action against American Niko Price, as the legend looks to write another chapter in his storied fight career.

ESPN will ensure UFC fight fans are across all the latest developments out of fight week in Las Vegas, with SC: UFC Fight Camp setting the stage for UFC 290.

Premiering Thursday at 4.30pm AEST, SC: UFC Fight Camp brings exclusive access, interviews and features with the local stars in action, as well as in-depth analysis from ESPN’s UFC expert team on the ground in Las Vegas.
