Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 185 000 and an average audience lead of 169 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 341 000 (856 000). The documentary: Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story was #4 with 1 6 17 000 (563 000). A new episode of First Dates UK was #27 with 525 000 (173 000).

The Chase Australia won its slot against Tipping Point Australia in both reach and average audience.

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 611 000 (1 085 000). Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars was #3 with 1 736 000 (376 000). A repeat of Million Dollar Murders was #24 with 569 000 (212 000).

The Project was #15 with 900 000 (351 000). I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was #6 with 1 387 000 (737 000). The new season premiere of NCIS was #14 with 911 000 (304 000). A repeat of NCIS was #43 with 360 000 (130 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 153 000 (867 000). Miriam Margolyes Impossibly Australian was #12 with 963 000 (518 000). The new series premiere of Creative Types with Virginia Trioli was #23 with 603 000 (351 000). Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius was #30 with 485 000 (214 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 news service and program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined bulletins recorded a Total TV National Audience of 1.190 million (up 8.4% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 78,000 (up 56% year-on-year). In Melbourne, the new bulletin team with Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort was 68,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
  • Tipping Point won the afternoon game show slot across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.322 million and a Total TV National Audience of 678,000, representing a huge 46.1% timeslot lift when compared to the corresponding day last year. 
  • A Current Affair was the No. 1 program at 7.00pm across Australia and 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.611 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.085 million – up 5.1% on the same night last year. Its BVOD audience was 74,000 – up a huge 94.7% on the same night last year.  
  • Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars achieved a Total TV National Audience of 376,000. 
  • Today recorded a National Total TV Reach of 768,000 and the No. 1 breakfast program in Melbourne and Brisbane. 

The 9Network was No. 1 on Tuesday with People 25-54 and People 16-49.

I’m A Celebrity reached the most 16 to 39s last night and achieved dominating shares in its 7.30pm timeslot.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Tuesday, 9 April):

  • 1.4 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 11% in under 50s week-on-week.
  • #1 show in 16 to 39s.
  • #1 7.30pm show.
  • #1 in its timeslot with dominating shares.
  • Highest under 50s share of the season (42.0%).
  • 37.5% commercial share in 16 to 39s and 36.2% in 25 to 54s.
  • 41,000 live stream viewers, up 49% on the same episode last year.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Tuesday, 2 April) reached 1.7 million total national viewers and was the #1 show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
