Stan October 2026 highlights – The new Australian horror-comedy Gnomes, the Friday the 13th prequel Crystal Lake and Catherine Zeta-Jones revenge thriller Kill Jackie lead a wide-ranging month on Stan.
October also brings more Love Island Australia, two new true-crime series, a fresh season of The Rainmaker, a substantial Halloween film collection and major football and rugby coverage on Stan Sport.
For Australian viewers, the month is anchored by local talent and local production. Gnomes puts Megan Smart, Matt Okine and Luke McGregor alongside Asa Butterfield, while Kill Jackie has an Australian production connection through Steel Springs Pictures, filmmaker Peter Lawson and actor Hattie Hook.
Gnomes – 8 October
Stan Original series Gnomes begins with Senior Sergeant Arnold Kipps, played by Asa Butterfield, already having a bad day in suburbia. His former partner and former flame Ellie McKay, played by Megan Smart, has returned to Nompton to close his police station just as an ancient evil awakens.
The bloodthirsty Gnome Queen unleashes a horde of killer ceramic garden ornaments and throws the town into chaos. Arnold and Ellie must reunite a collection of misfit police officers, rebellious teenagers and an ambitious mayor before the Queen’s rampage tears Nompton apart.
Butterfield and Smart are joined by Australian favourites Matt Okine and Luke McGregor. All episodes will be available at once.
Kill Jackie – 2 October
Catherine Zeta-Jones stars in Kill Jackie, a revenge thriller based on Nick Harkaway’s novel The Price You Pay. Jackie has spent two decades travelling the world, selling fine art and keeping a low profile after escaping her former life as an international drug smuggler.
Her carefully controlled existence changes when she discovers that the Seven Demons, a group of feared international hitmen, have been hired to kill her. The series comes from creatives behind Killing Eve and Gangs of London.
Kill Jackie is co-produced by Australia-based Steel Springs Pictures and Fremantle. Australian filmmaker Peter Lawson is co-creator and executive producer. Daniel Ings, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, Darci Shaw, Raff Law and Australian actor Hattie Hook also star. All episodes arrive together.
Raoul Moat: Inside the Mind of a Killer – 6 October
This new true-crime series revisits the events of July 2010, when Raoul Moat embarked on a two-day shooting spree that killed one person and seriously injured two others.
The attacks led to a week-long police manhunt across northeast England. Fifteen years after the unprecedented operation, the documentary examines the crime, the national fear surrounding the search and the enduring legacy of the case. All episodes will be available at once.
Crystal Lake – 16 October
A24 expands the world of Friday the 13th with Crystal Lake. The prequel stars 2026 Emmy winner Linda Cardellini as Pam Voorhees, a grieving single mother unable to move on from the drowning of her son Jason in the town’s lake.
When two strangers arrive at her door and begin asking questions, Pam’s hidden past returns. Their visit sets off a disturbing chain of events and leaves the residents of Crystal Lake questioning who Pam really is.
The series comes from an executive producer of IT: Welcome to Derry. Stan will release every episode at once.
The Rainmaker season two – 17 October
The John Grisham adaptation returns with new lawyer Rudy Baylor once again facing courtroom heavyweight Leo Drummond. The new case places the lives of hundreds of children in doubt and creates a situation in which winning could be as dangerous as losing.
John Slattery and Milo Callaghan return, while Merle Dandridge and Richard Kind join the cast. New episodes will stream every Saturday.
Killer in the Family – 20 October
Killer in the Family explores the murder of 16-year-old Becky Watts and the toxic family dynamics surrounding the crime. Becky’s disappearance sparked a major search and became national news, but the investigation gradually exposed a dark obsession behind the appearance of ordinary family life.
The documentary combines firsthand accounts from Becky’s friends with the experiences of police officers who worked on the case. Its focus is the devastating reality that the people responsible were not strangers, but individuals close to home. All episodes arrive together.
Love Island Australia: Unseen & Uncut – 26 October
Love Island Australia expands with an exclusive Stan companion series. Unseen & Uncut will give viewers daily feeds direct from the villa and show moments beyond the main television edit.
The series promises a more unfiltered view of villa life, the Islanders and the conversations that shape the competition. New episodes will stream from Monday to Thursday.
This City Is Ours season two – coming soon
Crime drama This City Is Ours returns with Michael, played by James Nelson-Joyce, caught in a struggle for control of the Phelan family’s criminal empire.
Michael and Diana, played by Hannah Onslow, have barely settled in Spain before questions about Ricardo’s death pull them back into danger. In Liverpool, tensions inside the gang continue to rise as a figure from Ronnie’s era presents a new threat. Shaun Evans and Álvaro Morte join the cast.

Stan Sport continues its live football coverage with every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match live and exclusive. Premier League coverage is also available in 4K.
The Bledisloe Cup starts on 10 October, with every match live and on demand and selected coverage available in 4K. Every match of the Women’s Super League will also be available live and on demand.
Coming to Stan in November
Stan has also previewed two November launches. A new season of The Hunting Wives arrives on 26 November, while new series The Good Daughter begins on 13 November.
