Black Snow on Stan season 2 sneak peek – Stan today released a sneak peek of the brand new season of the Stan Original Series Black Snow, premiering New Year’s Day, only on Stan.
This first look features Travis Fimmel (Vikings, Dune: Prophecy) and Megan Smart (Class of ‘07) as Detective Cormack and police officer Samara Kahlil investigating Zoe Jacobs’ disappearance from twenty years earlier.
Filmed in Queensland and set amongst the Glasshouse Mountains, Travis Fimmel reprises the role of Detective Cormack and marks his directorial debut with the sixth and final episode of the series. Fimmel stars alongside new cast members Jana McKinnon (Stan Original Series Bad Behaviour), Megan Smart (Class of ‘07), Alana Mansour (Erotic Stories), Dan Spielman (Bad Behaviour, The Newsreader), Victoria Haralabidou (Stan Original Series The Tourist) and Kat Stewart (Offspring).
In this returning season, cold case Detective Cormack tackles two separate missing persons cases.
One is professional, as he investigates the disappearance of Zoe Jacobs (McKinnon), who hasn’t been seen since her own 21st birthday party in 2003. And the other is personal, as Cormack searches desperately for his own younger brother, who went missing when they were children.
After a critically acclaimed first season, director Sian Davies (Stan Original Series The Gloaming), executive producer Rosemary Blight (The Invisible Man), and series creator Lucas Taylor (Harrow) return to the series, with Helena Brooks (Stan Original Series Population 11) joining as director with Travis Fimmel. Season one lead actor Talijah Blackman-Corowa joins the second season as director’s attachment, supported by Screen Queensland.
The brand new season of the Stan Original Series Black Snow is produced in association with All3Media International and Sundance Now and with financial support from Screen Queensland, Screen NSW and City of Gold Coast.
