SBS On Demand September 2026 highlights – SBS On Demand heads into September with a broad monthly slate spanning music drama, international crime, Australian unscripted television, factual favourites and returning thrillers.
The September lineup is led by Daisy Jones & The Six, all three seasons of Ramy, the SBS Original Alone Australia: The Reunion, the Elizabeth Holmes drama The Dropout and the Australian exclusive weekly release of Apollo Has Fallen.
For TV Central readers, the month is especially strong for viewers who use SBS On Demand as a catch-up and discovery platform: there are complete box sets for binge viewing, new international drama, documentary series, food and travel programming, and key titles that also roll out across SBS and SBS2.

Daisy Jones & The Six
Streaming Tuesday 1 September as a 10-episode box set.
Based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel, Daisy Jones & The Six follows a fictional 1970s rock band as fame, ambition and creative tension push the group to breaking point. Riley Keough stars as Daisy Jones, opposite Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, with Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Tom Wright and Timothy Olyphant also appearing.
Precious Metal: A Love Story
Streaming Wednesday 2 September as a five-episode Australian premiere box set.
Musician and car obsessive Danny Estrin, known for Australian band Voyager and Eurovision 2023, meets Australians whose treasured vehicles are wrapped up in memory, identity and family history. The character-led series is also scheduled for SBS2 on Wednesdays at 8.30pm.
Ramy seasons 1-3
Streaming Wednesday 2 September as a 30-episode box set.
Ramy follows Ramy Hassan, a first-generation Egyptian-American navigating faith, family, identity and modern life in New Jersey. Created by and starring Ramy Youssef, the series also features Hiam Abbass and Mahershala Ali, with episodes available in English and Arabic.
Juliet season 2
Streaming Saturday 6 September as a six-episode Australian exclusive box set.
The Belgian crime thriller returns with Chief Inspector Juliet Dumon investigating new murder cases in De Haan while trying to manage family pressures and professional conflict. Season 1 is already available on SBS On Demand.
Alone Australia: The Reunion season 4
Streaming Wednesday 9 September on SBS On Demand.
Hosted by Insight‘s Kumi Taguchi, the one-hour SBS Original special reunites the Alone Australia season 4 cast after their Arctic Circle survival challenge. SBS says the special will include unseen footage, deeper dives into shelter building and bushcraft, reflections on the mental and physical toll of the experience, and life updates from the cast. The special streams from 8.40pm after the season finale and airs on SBS on Thursday 10 September at 7.30pm.
Alone USA season 12
Streaming Wednesday 9 September as a 12-episode box set.
The US edition moves to the Great Karoo Desert in South Africa, with ten survivalists facing heat, foul water and unpredictable storms. The season is also scheduled for SBS2 on Thursdays at 9.20pm from 17 September. SBS also notes Alone: Belgium launches on SBS On Demand on Tuesday 15 September.
The Dropout
Streaming Sunday 13 September as an eight-episode box set.
Amanda Seyfried stars as Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in the drama about ambition, public image and a Silicon Valley downfall. The series is also scheduled for SBS2 every Sunday at 8.30pm.
Apollo Has Fallen
Streaming from Wednesday 16 September as an eight-episode Australian exclusive weekly drop.
The thriller follows MI6 operative Zara Taylor and former protection officer Vincent Taleb after a surveillance operation in Benghazi turns violent. The new season moves through Libya, London, Madrid and beyond as a conspiracy involving a deadly virus places millions of lives at risk. Paris Has Fallen season 1 is already streaming on SBS On Demand, while Apollo Has Fallen also airs on SBS Wednesdays at 9.30pm.
New Nordic, Not Noir
Everybody Loves Horses streams Thursday 17 September, followed by A Sami Wedding on Sunday 20 September.
Everybody Loves Horses is a four-episode Icelandic, Finnish and English-language drama about a group brought together at an Icelandic horse farm. A Sami Wedding is an eight-episode dark comedy about a dysfunctional family gathering for a traditional wedding in Kautokeino. Both titles stream with English subtitles.
