But after a wild night, Magritte wakes up beside the dead body of a young woman, with no memory of the previous evening. Upon arrival, John is quickly befriended by next-door neighbour Tommy (Ewan Bremner), a charming, confident ‘alpha male’. John is both impressed and slightly horrified by Tommy, and as their friendship grows, he starts to feel what can only be described as a new lease of life. But John is blissfully unaware that Tommy is harbouring horrifying secrets. It’s only after a series of unsettling incidents start to occur that John starts to wonder who the real Tommy actually is…

Featuring 104 matches across 16 cities in three countries, and the first ever final halftime show, the FIFA World Cup 2026TM tournament will be the largest in the competition’s history. Hosted by
respected football presenters Niav Owens and Claudio Fabiano, SBS’s coverage will begin on Friday 12 June with the Opening Ceremony from Mexico City Stadium, followed by the first match between co-host nation Mexico and South Africa.
Under head coach Tony Popovic, the Socceroos head to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ aiming to continue Australia’s strong recent record on the world stage. Australia will open their tournament against Türkiye, with coverage from 1.00pm (AEST) on Sunday 14 June across SBS, SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand.
SBS’s coverage of Australia’s Group D campaign will also see the Socceroos face co-host nation USA from 4.00am on Saturday 20 June, before taking on Paraguay from 11.00am on Friday 26 June.
All three matches will feature exclusive on-the-ground commentary from David Basheer and two-time FIFA World Cup Socceroo, Luke Wilkshire.
Joining the previously announced SBS commentary team headliners – Harry Kewell and Lydia Williams – are ex-FIFA World Cup stars and Socceroos favourites Tommy Oar and Andrew Redmayne, as well as former AC Milan midfielder and Ghana star Kevin-Prince Boateng, and ex- Matilda and football executive Sarah Walsh. Complementing our broadcast team will be international football presenter Adriano Del Monte, plus football content creators Adamo De Nigris, Kat Sasso and Sam Jurman, and SBS presenters Darren Mara, Breanna Holden and Adrian Arciuli.
SBS will bring Australians the first-ever FIFA World Cup™ Final Halftime Show live and exclusive from New York New Jersey Stadium on Monday 20 July (AEST), as global music icons Madonna, Shakira and BTS take to the world’s biggest sporting stage. Curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, the landmark performance will combine football, music and social impact in a historic moment for the tournament, supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and featuring appearances from beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

Naples, 1977. Pietro (Luca Lubrano), fifteen years old, grew up without his father or mother and was raised in extreme poverty. His desperation for a better life emerges as a fascination with Angelo the Siren (Francesco Pellegrino), the neighbourhood’s young “king.” Angelo seems to have it all. He’s handsome, charming, and manages an underground gambling club for the Villas, an old Camorra family that rules Secondigliano.
When the gambling club is held up, Pietro spots his chance to get noticed by Angelo. This brings Pietro into the good graces of his idol, and he begins to carve out his own space in the city’s criminal landscape. But when Pietro ends up in the middle of a violent conflict, he soon realises that the life he had dreamed of has a confronting dark side.
