Pat Cummins Tests Jeremy Clarkson’s New Diddly Squat Venture with a Backyard Cricket Challenge – Skipper and Prime Video ambassador Pat Cummins swapped the cricket pitch for greener pastures during a visit to Diddly Squat Farm to put Jeremy Clarkson’s new business venture through its paces.
Pat joined Jeremy, Kaleb Cooper, Lisa Hogan and Charlie Ireland for a day of farm adventures and a spirited game of cricket. Cummins, like Clarkson, is also a “farmer”, managing cows on his farm in the Southern Highlands in New South Wales.
Cummins, who is in London to lead the Australian cricket team in the ICC World Test Championship Finals 2025, available live and exclusive on Prime Video in Australia, made the trip to Diddly Squat Farm as a self-proclaimed superfan.
Under the guidance of trusted advisor Charlie Ireland, the tour included first look at Jeremy’s latest business venture revealed in Season Four: growing English Cricket bat Willow to produce cricket bats – a surprising move for someone who’s famously no fan of the sport.
After a tour of the farm and driving Clarkson’s famous Lamborghini (lambo) tractor, Cummins took part in an impromptu game of backyard cricket. The star of the show was a handcrafted Diddly Squat Farm cricket bat, made from English Cricket bat Willow grown right on the Farm. “Cheerful” Charlie stepped up as batsman while Cummins bowled, putting the bat to the test.
With Cummins an investor in Australian craft brewery Mountain Culture, and Clarkson flying the flag for British beer with Hawkstone, it was the perfect setting to tackle the age-old rivalry: who brews it better — the Brits or the Aussies?
With cameras rolling for Season Five of the fan favourite series, Prime members may also catch a glimpse of Cummins’ farm adventures in the future.

The only non-Australian sportsman who’s visited was David Beckham.”

It was a pleasure to invite a cricketing great, Pat Cummins, to come and help test one of our bats made from the wood grown right here on the farm.”
