Philippa Northeast and Christopher Chung hit the Logies red carpet after My Brilliant Career release – Netflix has released new pre-red-carpet images of My Brilliant Career stars Philippa Northeast and Christopher Chung ahead of the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards.
The photo story comes just days after My Brilliant Career launched on Netflix, giving the Australian period drama another high-profile moment as its leads reunite for one of local television’s biggest nights.
Northeast stars as Sybylla Melvyn in the new series, while Chung plays Harry Beecham. The pair were photographed by Jamie Green before heading to the Logies red carpet.
A Logies Moment For My Brilliant Career
My Brilliant Career follows Sybylla, a young woman in 1900 Australia with a fierce ambition to become a writer. Her family wants her to marry, but Sybylla is determined to find a story that lets her write her way towards independence.
The story places Sybylla between convention, romance and creative freedom. Her choice becomes more complicated when she falls in love, forcing her to consider whether marriage can sit beside the independent life she wants.
The series cast also includes Anna Chancellor as Mrs Bossier, Genevieve O’Reilly as Aunt Helen, Kate Mulvany as Augusta Beecham, Jake Dunn as Frank Hawden, Alexander England as Julius, Sherry-Lee Watson as Nell and Miah Madden as Betty.

The Netflix adaptation was written and adapted by Liz Doran. Alyssa McClelland and Anne Renton direct, with Paul Ranford producing for Jungle Entertainment.
Executive producers are Chloe Rickard, Liz Doran and Alyssa McClelland. Courtney Wise serves as co-executive producer, while writers include Liz Doran, Sarinah Masukor and Rachael Turk. Shari Sebbens is associate producer.
The production was filmed in Adelaide, South Australia. Its arrival on Netflix gives Australian audiences a new screen version of one of the country’s best-known literary titles, led by a contemporary cast and creative team.
