Netflix is ‘Now Streaming’ at the 2024 AACTA Awards – Tonight, at The Langham Hotel, Netflix hosted its inaugural Australian Now Streaming event, bringing together on-screen talent, industry executives and creatives ahead of the 2025 AACTA Awards Gala on the Gold Coast tomorrow.
Guests toasted the release of Netflix’s newest Australian production, Apple Cider Vinegar, now streaming. Series stars Alycia Debnam-Carey and Aisha Dee, along with creator and writer Samantha Strauss, director Jeffrey Walker, and the series’ creatives and crew were in attendance.
Also attending were the winners from last night’s AACTA Industry Gala Awards, which saw Netflix take home seven awards including six for Boy Swallows Universe, (including Best Casting in Television and Best Cinematography in Television), and Best Soundtrack for Heartbreak High.
Netflix has received a total of 31 nominations for the 2025 AACTA Awards taking place Friday at HOTA, Gold Coast; including a record-breaking 22 for Boy Swallows Universe, the most ever earned by a single production.
Netflix talent attending tomorrow’s awards includes cast members from the AACTA-nominated series Boy Swallows Universe, Heartbreak High, and Territory, along with Apple Cider Vinegar stars Alycia Debnam-Carey and Aisha Dee, who will present the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress.




























Today also marks the release of Netflix’s newest Australian title, Apple Cider Vinegar, a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.
Apple Cider Vinegar had its global premiere in Sydney on Monday with series’ leads Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Aisha Dee in attendance alongside supporting cast and series creatives.
