Make That Movie on HBO Max starring Australian comedians Sam Campbell and Aaron Chen – HBO Max today confirmed that the new six-episode comedy series Make That Movie, starring Australian funny men Sam Campbell (Taskmaster, Last One Laughing) and Aaron Chen (Fisk, Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee), will stream exclusively on HBO Max Australia this May.
Created by Campbell, directed by Joe Pelling (Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared) and produced by Blink Industries (Dead End: Paranormal Park, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared), Make That Movie focuses on a hotshot director, played by stand-up comedian and actor Campbell who scours the country for everyday people who have an idea for a feature film. Campbell and his team then race against the clock as they attempt to transform the idea into a film in just three days.

Starring as Campbell’s elite crew of filmmakers are:
Lara Ricote (Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping, Break Clause) as runner Jess, Australian Aaron Chen (Fisk) as intimacy coordinator Sebastian, Helen Bauer (Am I Being Unreasonable?) as sound engineer Pat and David Hargreaves (This Country) as cinematographer Winnie.
Make That Movie was commissioned for Channel 4 by Charlie Perkins, Head of Comedy and Joe Hullait, Commissioning Executive. Executive Producers are Adam Tandy, James Stevenson Bretton, Sam Campbell and Joe Pelling and the producer is William Kay. BBC Studios is handling global sales.

The new comedy series Make That Movie will debut in May, only on HBO Max.
