Mortal Kombat II streams on HBO Max from Friday – Mortal Kombat II will make its global streaming debut on Friday, 24 July, exclusively on HBO Max.

The New Line Cinema film brings the video game franchise back to streaming after its cinema release, with the latest chapter putting Earthrealm’s champions into another brutal battle.

Mortal Kombat II stars Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanada.

Mortal Kombat II On HBO Max

The sequel features fan favourite champions alongside Johnny Cage, who joins the fight as Shao Kahn threatens the existence of Earthrealm and its defenders.

The film is directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Jeremy Slater. It is based on the video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias.

Todd Garner, E. Bennett Walsh, James Wan, Toby Emmerich and Simon McQuoid produce the film. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Jeremy Slater, Ed Boon and Lawrence Kasanoff serve as executive producers.

Streaming Release

The HBO Max release gives Australian viewers a new way to watch the action franchise from home. The streaming debut follows the film’s theatrical run and places the sequel alongside other Warner Bros. Discovery titles on the platform.

Mortal Kombat II debuts Friday, 24 July, only on HBO Max.
