HBO Max July 2026: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, Good Fortune and President Curtis Lead New Arrivals — HBO Max has unveiled its July 2026 highlights, with a packed month of original comedies, documentaries, blockbuster films and returning favourites arriving on the streaming service.
Headlining the month is the highly anticipated The Big Bang Theory spin-off Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, alongside the star-studded comedy Good Fortune and new Adult Swim animated series President Curtis.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Expands The Big Bang Theory Universe
Premiering on 24 July, the ten-episode Max Original comedy Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom after he accidentally triggers a multiverse Armageddon.
After breaking a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, Stuart must attempt to restore reality with help from girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert and physicist Barry Kripke.
Along the way, the group encounters alternate-universe versions of familiar The Big Bang Theory characters, with predictably disastrous results.
The series stars Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie, with new episodes dropping weekly, the same day as the United States.
Keanu Reeves Leads Good Fortune
One of the month’s biggest film premieres arrives on 17 July with Good Fortune.
The comedy stars Keanu Reeves as Gabriel, a well-meaning but somewhat incompetent angel who interferes in the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy venture capitalist.
The film also stars Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen.
President Curtis Comes to Adult Swim
New Adult Swim animated comedy President Curtis premieres on 27 July.
The ten-episode series follows the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they tackle bizarre crises ranging from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations.
Episodes will stream weekly, the same day as the US.
Sarah Jessica Parker Produces Robin Byrd Documentary
Launching on 1 July, HBO Original documentary Bang My Box: The Robin Byrd Story explores the life and legacy of Robin Byrd, the pioneering host of a cult New York public-access television show.
Produced by Sarah Jessica Parker, the documentary follows Byrd as she reflects on free speech, queer visibility and her hidden decades-long marriage.
People Magazine Investigates Explores Cults
Throughout July, People Magazine Investigates: Surviving a Cult shines a spotlight on controversial organisations accused of manipulation, abuse and coercive control.
The three-part documentary event examines:
