Doctor Who on Disney+ – The holidays came early as Disney+ released a teaser for the highly-anticipated “Doctor Who” Christmas Special, “The Church on Ruby Road,” ahead of the December 26 premiere.
The Christmas Special welcomes Ncuti Gatwa as The Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as his new companion, Ruby Sunday.
Additional cast in the special includes: Davina McCall (herself), Michelle Greenidge (Carla Sunday), Angela Wynter (Cherry Sunday) and Anita Dobson (Mrs. Flood).
About the special: Long ago on Christmas Eve, a baby was abandoned in the snow. Today, Ruby Sunday meets the Doctor, stolen babies, goblins and perhaps the secret of her birth.
“Doctor Who” is produced by Bad Wolf with BBC Studios, for BBC and Disney Branded Television. Executive producers include Davies (writer and showrunner), Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Joel Collins and Phil Collinson.
“Doctor Who” 60th Anniversary Specials “The Star Beast,” “Wild Blue Yonder,” and “The Giggle” are now streaming on Disney+.
New episodes of “Doctor Who” will stream globally on Disney+ (outside of the UK and Ireland).
