Alien Earth season 2 adds Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn – Alien Earth season 2 has added Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn, as production begins in London.
Disney+ confirmed the new cast additions for the second season of FX’s Alien: Earth. The series was created for television by Noah Hawley, and season two will stream exclusively on Disney+ in Australia.
The three new names join Peter Dinklage, who had already been announced for the next chapter. Sam Spruell also reunites with Hawley after their work together on Fargo.
New cast joins Alien Earth season 2
Tracey Ullman is best known for The Tracey Ullman Show, the American series that launched The Simpsons. Across her career, she has won multiple major awards, including Emmys, a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and a BAFTA. More recently, Ullman appeared in Mrs. America, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Steve.
Sam Spruell has worked across film, television and theatre. His credits include A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, The Martian, Legend, Fargo, The Gold, Doctor Who and Luther. He will also appear in the next Insidious film and Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars.
Jerome Flynn is widely known for Game of Thrones. He also starred opposite Harrison Ford in 1923, and his screen work includes Black Mirror, Ripper Street and John Wick 3.
The story so far
The new cast members join Sydney Chandler and a large international ensemble. The returning line-up includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El and Sandra Yi Sencindiver.
In season one, the deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-landed on Earth. Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of tactical soldiers then faced a threat that changed the future of the planet.
The story is set in 2120, when Earth is controlled by five corporations. Humans live beside cyborgs and synthetics, while Prodigy Corporation creates hybrids by placing human consciousness inside humanoid robots. Therefore, the arrival of alien life forms pushes that new world into a far more dangerous place.
All episodes of season one are now streaming on Disney+ in Australia. Alien Earth season 2 is currently in production in London.
