Death Valley Season 2 BritBox Australia – Timothy Spall and Gwyneth Keyworth have reunited for six new mysteries, with the full second season now streaming exclusively on BritBox Australia.

The return gives Australian mystery fans another complete season to watch at once. It also strengthens BritBox’s growing collection of returning British crime dramas, with comedy and the Welsh countryside setting again helping Death Valley stand apart.

The first season attracted one of British television’s largest overnight audiences for a new scripted program in five years, according to BritBox. Now, the unlikely partnership between Detective Inspector Janie Mallowan and retired actor John Chapel faces a fresh test.

Janie and John reunite

Season 2 begins several months after the first season’s final revelation. Janie has been promoted to Detective Inspector and is busier than ever, with paperwork piling up as quickly as new cases arrive.

However, she has also been avoiding John after learning about his unexpected connection to her family. Their once dependable friendship is strained, but Mid Wales still has murders to solve.

As a result, Janie and John must put their differences aside. John’s dramatic instincts and unusual insight again prove useful as the pair investigate another collection of baffling crimes.

Who stars in Death Valley Season 2?

Timothy Spall returns as John Chapel, a celebrated former television detective who cannot resist a real mystery. Gwyneth Keyworth is back as Janie Mallowan, who must balance her new responsibilities with John’s unconventional approach.

The returning cast also includes Alexandria Riley, Rithvik Andugula and Steffan Rhodri. Comedian and actor Roisin Conaty makes a guest appearance during the new season.
