Tip Toe on Binge trailer – BINGE today released the official trailer for new five-part drama series Tip Toe from multi-BAFTA award-winning writer Russell T. Davies (It’s A Sin; Queer As Folk) and starring Emmy and Tony award-winner Alan Cumming (The Traitors; Glenrothan) and David Morrissey (The Walking Dead; Sherwood). The series is streaming June 2nd on BINGE and Foxtel On Demand with a double episode premiere.
Tip Toe explores the relationship between neighbours Leo (Cumming), a Canal Street bar owner in Manchester’s gay district, and Clive (Morrissey), an electrician with two teenage sons, who find their lives unravelling amidst rising social tensions and gradually become deadly enemies.
Populated by a cast of vibrant characters and underscored by Davies’ trademark wit and deft humour, the series is an urgent and timely suburban thriller that shines a light on prejudices creeping back into modern life.
Its themes speak not only to the queer community but to the world at large.
Filmed entirely in Manchester, Tip Toe also stars Pooky Quesnel (The A Word) as Clive’s wife Marie; Jackson Connor (Phoenix Rise) as Clive’s youngest son George; Joseph Evans (The Map That Leads To You) as George’s older brother Saul; Elizabeth Berrington (Lost Boys & Fairies) as Leo’s best friend Stephanie; Iz Hesketh (Renegade Nell) as Zee and Shakeel Kimotho (La Cage Aux Folles (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre) as Hanna; Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Wednesday, Devs) as the bar’s manager Judy; Paul Rhys (Saltburn) as Melba, a Canal Street fixture; Charlie Condou (Doctor Who) as Leo’s ex-husband Curtis; and Denise Welch (Waterloo Road) as Diane.
Tip Toe is produced by Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios), with Nicola Shindler (Happy Valley, It’s a Sin, Fool Me Once), Russell T. Tip Toe on Binge – Episodes 1 & 2 of Tip Toe will be available to stream on BINGE and Foxtel On Demand on 2 June. Episodes 3-5 will be available to stream on June 9th. Foxtel customers can watch the double episode premiere on Showcase 8.30pm on 2 June.
