New this week on Apple TV: The Dink premiere, Cape Fear and more – Apple TV has a fresh weekly lineup from Friday, 24 July, led by the global premiere of Apple Original Films’ pickleball comedy The Dink.
The week also brings new episodes of Lucky, Trying, Silo and Sugar, plus the penultimate episode of Cape Fear.
For Australian Apple TV viewers, the week is built around a new film premiere and several continuing series. It gives the service comedy, thriller, sci-fi, crime drama and family viewing ahead of a busier August slate.
The Dink premieres on Apple TV
The Dink stars Jake Johnson as Dusty Boyd, a former tennis prodigy now coaching unruly children at his father’s suburban country club.
Dusty is drawn into pickleball after an old injury forces him away from tennis. With help from his new partner Candace, played by Mary Steenburgen, he starts to question his loyalties and past failures.
The cast also includes Ed Harris, Andy Roddick, Patton Oswalt, Chloe Fineman, Chris Parnell, Aaron Chen and Ben Stiller.
The film is directed by Josh Greenbaum and written by Sean Clements. Stiller and John Lesher produce for Red Hour Films, with Rob Paris and Mike Witherill producing for Rivulet Entertainment. Johnson also serves as producer.

- Lucky: Episode three, Read the Room, follows Lucky as she tries to track down Cary and her money, while Agent Rand investigates her moves.
- Trying season five: Episode three, The Mousetrap, sees Jason recapturing his youth, Nikki meeting a new coworker and Karen learning the cost of keeping a secret.
- Silo season three: Episode four, Whatever You Do, Don’t Go Home, continues Juliette’s race to evade Camille.
- Sugar season two: Episode six, Cautionary Tale, puts Sugar under pressure as Vega forces an impossible choice.
- Cape Fear: The penultimate episode, The Scar, sends Anna to Cape Fear to find Crystal and answers.

Apple TV’s coming-soon list includes Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy, which premieres Friday, 31 July.
Ted Lasso season four follows on Wednesday, 5 August, with Ted returning to Richmond to coach a second division women’s football team.
Apple TV also has Las Azules, also known as Women in Blue, returning for season two on Wednesday, 12 August. The new season follows Maria after her promotion to lieutenant.
Later in August, Apple TV premieres The Dynasty: UConn Huskies on Friday, 21 August. Season two of Dark Matter follows on Friday, 28 August.
