Mayday Apple TV release details have been confirmed. The new Apple Original Film will premiere on 4 September.
Apple Original Films has also released the trailer for the action comedy. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh.
What is Mayday about?
Mayday is a buddy comedy with a Cold War spy thriller twist.
Reynolds plays Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly. He is a hot shot U.S. Navy pilot sent on a top-secret mission into Russian territory.
However, the mission falls apart. Troy is left stranded behind enemy lines.
He is then discovered by Nikolai Ustinov, a gruff ex-KGB agent played by Branagh.
At first, Troy thinks his chances are over. Instead, the two men may become unlikely allies.
As a result, Mayday follows a rescue attempt and a bond neither man expected.

Mayday is co-directed, written and produced by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
