Stan Sport and Rugby Australia celebrate the launch of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season

Stan Sport and Rugby Australia today celebrated the Super Rugby Pacific 2023 season launch at the Sydney Opera House ahead of the Friday, February 24 kick off on the Home of Rugby.

Stan Sport will be the only place Aussie fans can see every Super Rugby Pacific match, ad-free, live and on demand.

In attendance were star representatives from all five Australian clubs: the NSW Waratahs (Jake Gordon), QLD Reds (Tate McDermott), ACT Brumbies (Allan Alaalatoa)Melbourne Rebels (Rob Leota) and Western Force (Tom Robertson) – along with their respective coaches. 

Also on hand was returning Wallabies coach Eddie Jones, who will be keeping a close eye on the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season as it acts as an audition for the Wallabies ahead of this year’s Rugby World Cup – come Spring, every Rugby World Cup match will be available to watch ad-free, live and on demand on Stan Sport.

Stan CEO Martin Kugeler and Rugby Australia CEO Andy Marinos got the proceedings started speaking with host Nic McArdle, outlining the additions to the season and why fans should be excited for a big year of rugby. All coaches and players also shared their thoughts and predictions on the impending season, detailing their plans to improve on 2022’s campaign.

Stan Sport’s Sean Maloney and Morgan Turinui were also on deck recording a special Super Rugby Pacific Season Launch episode of Between Two Posts, streaming on Stan Sport tonight from 7:00pm AEDT.

The Super Rugby Pacific 2023 season kicks off next Friday, February 24 on Stan Sport with a massive doubleheader, beginning with a fiery NZ clash between the Crusaders and Chiefs (5:05pm AEDT), followed by a blockbuster showdown between Aussie powerhouses the Waratahs and Brumbies at the brand new, state-of-the-art Allianz Stadium, which will be anticipating a huge crowd to welcome the NSW side to their new home.
