PacificAus TV secures Rugby World Cup Australia 2027 for Blue Pacific broadcasters – PacificAus TV has confirmed an agreement with World Rugby and Fiji TV that will bring every match of the Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027 to partner broadcasters across the Blue Pacific.
All 52 matches will be available live in the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The arrangement gives the tournament a broad regional footprint beyond its Australian host cities and delivers coverage through established local free-to-air partners.
A larger Rugby World Cup
The tournament runs from 1 October to 13 November 2027. It will be the first men’s Rugby World Cup to feature 24 teams, with a new round of 16, seven host cities and 52 matches.
That expansion gives Pacific nations more opportunities to feature on rugby’s largest stage. It also means audiences across the region can follow the full tournament rather than only selected fixtures.
Regional television reach
PacificAus TV works with 17 free-to-air broadcasters in 11 Pacific nations and six time zones. The service said the agreement would make rugby’s pinnacle competition accessible to the widest possible audience through trusted local broadcasters.
For Australian rugby viewers, the announcement is a reminder that the 2027 event has an important Pacific dimension: the host nation will stage the tournament, while partner broadcasters ensure the contest reaches communities closely connected to the game.
