ESPN brings another huge week of NFL action, with six live games across ESPN and ESPN2, with the standout being the highly anticipated clash between NFL legends – Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, for perhaps the final time.
NFL Week Three on ESPN begins on Friday September 23 at 10.15am AEST, live on ESPN2, when the Cleveland Browns meet the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Both sides fell agonizingly short of victory in Week Two, as the Browns lost to the Jets by a point, and the Steelers were beaten by a field goal against the Patriots.
It leaves the AFC North rivals 1-1 after the opening fortnight and looms as a key clash in the tight conference.
Monday September 26 will bring four live games back to back on ESPN and ESPN2, beginning at 3am AEST when the Kansas City Chiefs clash with the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chiefs have been perhaps the most impressive side in the opening two weeks of the season, claiming back to back victories in style.
Indianapolis were humbled 24-0 by Jacksonville last round, and are yet to register a victory this season.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has his offense singing and the Colts will be up against it, as they look to get their campaign rolling.
Also at 3am AEST on ESPN2, the Las Vegas Raiders clash with the Tennessee Titans.
The Raiders are another franchise who are desperately looking to kick start their season, going 0-2 so far.
Las Vegas impressed for three quarters against the Cardinals in Week Two, but capitulated late to hand Arizona the win.
The Titans were another many had high hopes for in 2022/23, but like the Raiders, they are sliding. Tennessee were thumped 41-7 by Buffalo.
It may only be Week Three, but already questions are being asked regarding the future of both.
At 6.25am AEST on ESPN, two NFL legends collide for potentially the final time, as Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady go head to head once more.
Green Bay tackle the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with all eyes on the quarterback battle.
After an opening round defeat, the Packers eased the pressure with a 27-10 win over Chicago, but the Buccaneers will prove a serious litmus test.
Tampa Bay have won both games to start the season, a 19-3 win over the Cowboys and 20-10 victory over the Saints.
Tom Brady as always has been a focal point, but his offensive is still yet to find their groove. Another clash with Aaron Rodgers will have the NFL world salivating.
Monday’s action concludes at 10.15am AEST when the San Francisco 49ers clash with the Denver Broncos.
After a shock loss to the Bears in Week One, the 49ers responded with an impressive 27-7 win vs Seattle.
Denver also rectified an opening day defeat, having fallen 17-16 to the Seahawks week one.
A 16-9 win over Houston will help steady the ship, as new QB Russell Wilson gets comfortable to life in Denver.
Tuesday at 10.15am AEST, New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys face off, live on ESPN.
An all NFC East clash, with New York currently sitting atop the conference and the Cowboys at the bottom. Not how many would have predicted things to be sitting thus far.
The Giants hold a 2-0 record for the season, holding on for slender wins against the Titans and Panthers.
Stand-in QB Cooper Rush got the Cowboys back to winning ways, steering Dallas to a 20-17 win in Week Two against the Bengals.
With Dak Prescott expected to be out for the next six weeks, Rush is now the focal point and steps into one of the biggest spotlights in the NFL.
A win over their conference rivals, will be the perfect answer to any critics.
