Mega EIGHT Game NFL Playoff Deciding Schedule LIVE on ESPN – The countdown is on with just three rounds of the NFL regular season remaining and the playoff hopes of many hanging by a thread. ESPN delivers an early Christmas gift to NFL fans with a massive EIGHT live games in Week 16 with every game shaping the NFL Playoff race.
ESPN’s massive eight game schedule showcases a host of NFL heavyweights and NFL Playoff aspirants.
The action begins on Friday December 19 as the Los Angeles Rams meet the Seattle Seahawks in a massive showdown that could decide the NFC West division, live on ESPN at 12.15pm AEDT.
The Los Angeles Rams are currently at the top of the NFC Conference but are being chased down hard by NFC West rivals Seattle.
Both share identical 11-3 records, with the San Francisco 49ers also just a game behind the pair.
Seattle have won four straight games, with the Rams on a two-game winning run, setting up a crucial clash.
ESPN will deliver a big Sunday double header, live from 9am AEDT, with two crucial clashes back-to-back.
At 9am AEDT, the Philadelphia Eagles face the Washington Commanders on ESPN.
Philadelphia had spent most of the season as favourites to defend their NFC Conference crown.
They remain at a striking distance to still achieve that feat but have been overtaken and overshadowed by the Los Angeles Rams in recent weeks.
The Eagles sit two wins behind the top of the NFC, and up against the 4-10 Commanders, they should pair back some crucial ground in Week 16.
One of the most anticipated games in Week 16 follows live at 12.15pm AEDT with the Green Bay Packers facing major rivals, the Chicago Bears.
The two long-time foes are locked in a fight for the NFC North, where Chicago hold a slender one game advantage.
Green Bay’s 34-26 defeat to Denver last round has seen them slip to the final playoff position in the NFC.
The Packers will be buoyed by the fact they defeated Chicago just a fortnight ago, prevailing 28-21.
Monday December 22 kicks off a four-game lineup from 5am AEDT, with the Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys.
The Los Angeles Chargers seem destined for the playoffs, catching fire at a crucial time with three wins in a row.
Last round they ended the playoff hopes of the Kansas City Chiefs, and this week they can repeat the dose to the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas sit on the playoff bubble at 6-7-1 and simply must win to have any chance of making an unlikely run to the post-season.
Also, at 5am AEDT on ESPN2, the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins face off.
Miami are another team that has just a flicker of hope on making the NFL post-season and those hopes will officially end should they not defeat the Bengals.
Cincinnati have long been out of the playoff race, with a record of 4-10 – and now can play spoiler for Miami.
Next at 8.25am AEDT, it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions in an intriguing late season clash.
Detroit sit just one win away from the NFC playoff positions, but were dealt a blow last round, falling to the current #1 seed Los Angeles Rams.
Now they face another playoff contender in AFC North leaders, Pittsburgh.
The Steelers are just holding off the Baltimore Ravens in their divisional fight and a loss to the Lions will see them slip back into the logjam of teams fighting for the final playoff spots.
Rounding out Monday’s marathon live at 12.15pm AEDT is the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.
New England’s stunning winning run finally came to an end last round, falling to Buffalo in a tense 35-31 defeat.
That loss saw the Pats give up top spot in the AFC to Denver and New England will hope to right their course with an immediate winning response.
Baltimore are playing for their season at 7-7 and are one of three teams sitting on the playoff bubble right now.
Tuesday December 23 follows with another crucial clash between the San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts live on ESPN at 12.15pm AEDT.
The NFC West is one of the most fascinating in the NFL, with three teams fighting for the lead.
This round sees the top two play each other, which could open the door for the 49ers to pounce late in the regular season and steal the division.
Indianapolis will be desperate, as they have fallen out of the playoffs despite a promising early season.
Veteran QB Philip Rivers is out of retirement and has been tasked with turning the tide and it must start with victory against San Francisco.
