Townsville 500 tears it up for Channel 7 – Live and free on Seven and 7plus this weekend.
Motorsport fans are gearing up for a massive weekend of roadside action, with Round 7 of the 2025 Supercars Championship – the Townsville 500 – live and free across Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport this weekend.
The Far North Queensland city will host the second round of the traditional northern swing for Supercars following last month’s Darwin Triple Crown, which saw Broc Feeney clean sweep the Triple Crown and further extend his lead in the Sprint Cup and the Championship.
Seven’s resident motorsport expert and fresh from his NASCAR debut, Jack Perkins, and former Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor will take viewers live to the Reid Park Street Circuit for a weekend jam-packed with high-octane action, from midday on Saturday and continuing Sunday.
Supercars legends Garth Tander and Mark Skaife will feature in the commentary box with legendary caller Neil Crompton, while Mark Larkham and Chad Neylon will join Perkins and Taylor as they lead the pit lane coverage.
Three-time Supercars Champion Craig Lowndes, Richard Craill and Matt Naulty will also call the support categories throughout the weekend.
Townsville 500 will be headlined by two 200 kilometre two-stop races on Saturday and Sunday and is the penultimate event before the first finalist of 2025 is confirmed.
Ten drivers will compete in Supercars’ first ever finals series, before a Champion is crowned at the BP Adelaide Grand Final on 30 November.
Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney holds a commanding 183-point lead over defending Supercars Champion Will Brown heading into this weekend’s round in Townsville.
