On Friday, AFL fans will be in for an Easter treat when North Melbourne take on Carlton in the annual Good Friday SuperClash at Marvel Stadium from 3.00pm AEST, during Seven’s 68th annual Good Friday Appeal broadcast, which continues through until midnight on Seven Melbourne and 7plus nationally, while viewers in Western Australia can watch the West Coast v Essendon clash from 4.00pm AWST live on 7mate and 7plus Sport.
Footy fans should look no further than Seven and 7plus on Sunday, with the Sunday Footy Feast kicking off all the action from 12.00pm AEST, before Seven’s double-header AFL coverage which includes:
- Sydney Swans v Port Adelaide at the SCG on from 2.30pm AEST on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport
- Western Bulldogs v St Kilda at Marvel Stadium from 7.00pm AEST on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport
An incredible round of AFL will culminate in one of the game’s most anticipated recent traditions, the Easter Monday clash between Hawthorn and Geelong at the MCG from 2.30pm AEST on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport.
The Easter footy action also includes state league footy, starting with Friday’s SANFL Round Three match between Port Adelaide and South Adelaide from 7.00pm ACST on 7mate and streamed nationally on 7plus Sport. Then, on Saturday night, Port Melbourne host Essendon in the VFL from 7.00pm AEST on 7mate, while Subiaco take on West Perth in the WAFL from 7.00pm AWST on 7mate, both streamed live and free on 7plus Sport, nationally.
Following the VFL clash, viewers can join 7NEWS Melbourne’s Kate Massey and VFL commentator, Nigel Carmody for AFL Saturday Rewind as they report all the biggest moments from Saturday’s AFL matches.
Footy fans in NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia can also watch every game involving teams from their home states on Seven and 7plus Sport.
The sport action doesn’t stop there, with Australia’s richest foot race – the Stawell Gift – available to stream all weekend live and free on 7plus Sport.
All eyes will be on the showdown between sprint sensations Gout Gout and Lachie Kennedy as they look to qualify for the must-watch race that promises a history-making result. From the heats to the final stride, no one will want to miss a moment of the drama, speed and spectacle, with every race, live, free and exclusively on 7plus Sport.
The surfing action continues this week live and free on 7plus Sport as the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour’s Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach kicks off. Aussie superstar Ethan Ewing is still in contention to claim his second Bells Beach title, while Brazilian Italo Ferreira sits atop the rankings.
As Aussie Tyler Wright looks to claim her third Bells Beach title, American Caitlin Simmers will be her harshest competitor, following a convincing win in 2024 and a 2000-plus points lead in the Championship Tour rankings.
Seven’s #1 horse racing team will be on deck to deliver all the action live from All Aged Stakes Day at Royal Randwick, Mornington Cup Day at Mornington and The Quokka live from Ascot in Western Australia.
Seven Network Director of Sport, Chris Jones, said:
“There is something for absolutely everyone on the screens of Seven and 7plus Sport this Easter.
“With five AFL blockbusters, state-league footy on Saturday night, the world’s best surfers at Bells Beach, elite-level Autumn thoroughbred racing and what is shaping up to be the most exciting Stawell Gift in recent memory, these next five days could not be better for sports fans.
“With wall-to-wall sport for the entire long weekend, there’s only one place to catch all the action live and free, right here on Seven and 7plus Sport. Why go anywhere else?”
