Spring Racing heats up on Seven and 7plus – The 2024 Spring Racing Carnival has come alive and the only place to see Australia’s most prestigious race days including The Everest, Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and the Golden Eagle live and free is on Seven and 7plus Sport, Your Home of Horse Racing.
Over the next nine weeks of live and free Spring Racing Carnival coverage, Seven will bring viewers all the biggest and best moments on track, as well as the glitz and glamour of Australia’s favourite race days.
From Melbourne’s hallowed Caufield Cup Carnival and Cox Plate to the unmistakable glitter of Sydney’s Everest Carnival, the Golden Eagle, Five Diamonds and The Big Dance, Seven will bring viewers the biggest and best moments on track this spring, including:
• 5 October – Royal Randwick: TAB Epsom Day and Flemington: TAB Turnbull Stakes Day
• 12 October – Caulfield: Sportsbet Caulfield Guineas Day and Rosehill Gardens: Hill Stakes Day
• 19 October – Royal Randwick: TAB Everest Day and Caulfield: Sportsbet Caulfield Cup
• 26 October – Moonee Valley: Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day and Royal Randwick: Moet & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes Day
• 2 November – Rosehill Gardens: Golden Eagle Day
• 5 November – Royal Randwick: The Big Dance
• 9 November – Rosehill Gardens: Five Diamonds Ladies Day
• 16 November – Caulfield: Schweppes Caulfield Thousand and Newcastle: The Newcastle Herald Hunter Day
• 23 November – Cranbourne: Ladbrokes Cranbourne Cup Day; Kembla Grange: The Illawarra Mercury The Gong Day and Doomben: Tattersall’s Race Day
• 30 November – Caulfield: Caulfield Spring Finale, Rosehill: Festival Stakes and ATC Cup and Doomben: Country Finals Day
Australia’s pre-eminent sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney will again lead racing’s #1 team, joined by 7Racing’s Emma Freedman, Jason Richardson, Katelyn McDonald, Daniel MacPherson, Lizzie Jelfs and Kate Waterhouse.
Throughout the spring, viewers will also be treated to guest appearances with three-time Group 1 winning jockey Kathy O’Hara as she shares her unrivalled insights live from the track.

The Spring Racing calendar is the pinnacle of the 7Racing portfolio, which covers the very best Australian thoroughbred racing live and free every Saturday of the year as part of the most significant free-to-air broadcast deal in the history of the sport.
The long-term agreement to 2027 with Racing Victoria and Racing NSW, which includes key race days in conjunction with Racing Queensland and Racing SA, cements Seven as Australia’s home of racing, and means Australians enjoy 52 weeks of elite racing across the country.
In a bonus for racing fans, Racing WA and Seven recently signed a new multi-year partnership to showcase Western Australian thoroughbred racing, ensuring all thoroughbred race meetings in Western Australia are broadcast live and free on 7plus Sport.
This Saturday, Seven will bring viewers all the excitement of TAB Epsom Day and TAB Turnbull Stakes Day, with coverage starting from 12.00am AEST.
