International Football joins Stan Sport with European Qualifiers for 2026 FIFA World Cup – Stan today announced a further expansion of its football offering, with the European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup joining the world’s biggest club tournaments and adding to the platform’s already expansive lineup of must-see football content.

Beginning Friday 5 September from 12:00am AEST, all 144 remaining pool matches, plus every play-off match in March, will be streamed live and exclusive on Stan Sport.
Europe has historically been the greatest footballing continent, winning 12 FIFA World Cups in total, with footballing juggernauts Germany (4), Italy (4), France (2), England (1) and Spain (1) all enjoying success at the tournament. Some of the biggest names in global football will feature as they strive for qualification, including Portugal megastar Cristiano Ronaldo, French maestro Kylian Mbappé, England phenom Jude Bellingham, Norwegian leading scorer Erling Haaland and Spain’s teenage prodigy Lamine Yamal.
The exciting format sees 48 national teams divided into 12 groups of four, playing home and away fixtures against each opposition.
The 12 group winners will earn automatic qualification for the World Cup, while the remaining nations will enter the play-off stage for their chance to secure a spot in the tournament.
This structure brings guaranteed fireworks and drama, as the pressures of expectation weigh upon the shoulders of the major footballing nations, with even the mighty Italy having infamously missed the last two FIFA World Cups after failing to qualify.
The addition of the European Qualifiers further strengthens Stan’s commitment to premium sport and an ever-growing stable of top-tier football content. The European Qualifiers joins a huge slate of some of the best football competitions in the world, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Women’s Super League, J League, K League, NWSL and more.
