FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Kayo players to watch – The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, beginning this Sunday on Kayo Sports, will bring together the world’s biggest names and most iconic clubs in pursuit of club football’s ultimate prize.

Ahead of the opening game, featuring Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami against Al Ahly, we look at the main contenders and the star power that will drive them to glory in this year’s tournament.

REAL MADRID

Key players: Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham

Global powerhouse Real Madrid is stacked across the park and enters the tournament as one of the most fancied sides. French star Mbappe is a leading contender for the tournament’s golden boot, while the likes of Bellingham and Vinicius Junior will stretch opposition defences. Xabi Alonso returns to Los Blancos as their new manager, while former Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold will make his club debut.

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

Key players: Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha

UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain will bring one of the world’s most exciting young squads to the FIFA Club World Cup™ under manager Luis Enrique. Dembele and Kvaratskhelia pose a serious goal threat, while midfielder Vitinha is proving a serial winner after also guiding Portugal to UEFA National League glory last weekend. Their opening clash against Atletico Madrid on Monday, June 16 will be one of the games of the tournament.

MANCHESTER CITY

Key players: Rodri,Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva

Pep Guardiola’s side will be seeking revenge for their indifferent 2024-25 form at League and European level. Current Ballon d’Or trophy holder Rodri returns from injury to anchor their midfield, while Haaland and Silva form a potent combination in front of goal. City have also been busy in the special transfer window, adding three players to their squad.

BAYERN MUNICH

Key players: Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich

Germany’s most successful club brings an elite mix of youth and experience to the tournament. English striker Kane and midfield mainstay Kimmich are vital cogs in the Bayern lineup, providing stability for 21-year-old Musiala to pull the strings in the attacking midfield role. Their first match is against semi-professional Auckland City FC.

CHELSEA

Key players: Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez

Like PSG, Chelsea has recruited a number of young and promising players in recent years, headlined by the likes of Palmer, Caicedo and Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup™ winner Enzo Fernandez. They finished the most recent Premier League season strongly and have the firepower to challenge the tournament’s top teams.

INTER MIAMI

Key players: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba

Inter Miami’s squad reads like a hall of fame roll call, headlined by Messi, arguably the greatest player of all time. The Argentine’s former Barcelona teammates Suarez, Busquets and Alba are all legends in their own right, and ensure that the team founded by David Beckham in 2018 will prove a formidable opponent in Group A.

OTHER KEY TEAMS

Europe is well represented at the FIFA Club World Cup™, with the likes of beaten finalists from this year’s UEFA Champions League, Inter Miami, plus Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, all likely to be strong contenders in the tournament’s knockout stages.

From elsewhere, Brazilian sides Flamengo and Palmeiras will bring an attacking flair, while ‘local’ hopes will be carried by Auckland City, who have won 12 of the last 15 Oceanian club titles.

WHERE AND WHEN TO WATCH

All 63 games of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ will be available live and in high definition on Kayo Sports customers from June 15 to July 14.

The coverage will feature a 24/7 dedicated channel, with highlights packages, minis from every match and additional programming.

ABOUT THE FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP 2025™:

The tournament will be held at 12 venues across the United States, featuring an expanded format with 32 teams competing to be crowned the official FIFA Club World Champions.
