The 2026 Stanley Cup Final begin with Game One between the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday June 3 live at 10am AEST on ESPN.
Game Two will follow on Friday June 5, before Game Three continues on Sunday June 7 – both live at 10am AEST on ESPN.
Wednesday’s Game One of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final is the first ever post-season meeting between the Golden Knights and Hurricanes.
Remarkably the Vegas Golden Knights are making their third Stanley Cup Final appearance since the franchise was established in 2017-2018.
Carolina meanwhile is returning to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006.
Vegas Golden Knights secured their place in the Stanley Cup Final with a comprehensive 4-0 sweep of the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals series.
Carolina Hurricanes claimed their Eastern Conference Finals series 4-1, winning four straight games after dropping the series opener to the Montreal Canadiens.
That defeat to the Canadiens is the only game the Hurricanes have lost throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs so far.
Carolina will take home ice advantage into the series, courtesy of the better regular season record.
The focus this Stanley Cup Final will be at both ends of the ice, with key offensive and goaltending battles set to decide the 2026 National Hockey League champions.
Taylor Hall continues to provide the needed offensive punch to the Hurricanes, while Mitch Marnes drives the attack for the Golden Knights.
Goaltenders Carter Hart and Frederik Andersen have produced elite numbers throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs and will prove difference makers with it all on the line.
