UFC Fight Night on ESPN – Australia’s rising star Jack Della Maddalena features in a loaded UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Bueno Silva event LIVE this Sunday on ESPN.
Sunday’s UFC Fight Night is headlined by a high-stakes main event between top bantamweights Holly Holm and Mayra Bueno Silva, with the UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Bueno Silva Main Card beginning LIVE Sunday at 12pm AEST on ESPN2.
Number three ranked Holm faces the surging Bueno Silva in a clash of women’s bantamweight contenders.
Holm is looking to build another win streak and stake her claim for a return to the UFC championship picture. She holds wins over Ronda Rousey, Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington and has 11 first round finishes.
Bueno Silva faces the most difficult test of her UFC career and aims to keep her momentum alive by claiming victory against a top contender and former UFC champion in Holm.
Aussie Jack Della Maddalena is also in action on the UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Bueno Silva Main Card.
After his two previous opponents withdrew, Della Maddalena was left without a fight for UFC 290 last Sunday. The Australian fighter has stayed on in Las Vegas and will now face UFC newcomer Bassil Hafez.
Della Maddalena is quite the first up test for the debuting Hafez, with the Australian currently riding a five-fight winning run since entering the UFC Octagon and a 14-fight undefeated career streak.
The young Aussie is known for making a statement when entering the UFC Octagon, having finished his last four UFC fights inside the first round.
UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Bueno Silva also contains a Middleweight showdown between Albert Duraev and Jung Yong Park, as well as a clash of ranked women’s Featherweight contenders Norma Dumont and Chelsea Chandler.
