Florida needed some help to make the playoffs initially, just squeezing into the Eastern Conference’s final playoff berth.

Confidence is high and the underdog story of the NHL season continues, as the Panthers ride the wave of momentum.
The 2023 Stanley Cup Final is the second time both the Panthers and Golden Knights have reached the last stage in the NHL season – with neither side having won the Stanley Cup in their history.
Las Vegas Golden Knights have reached their second Finals, having only entered the NHL six years ago. Florida on the other hand have been in drought, having last reached the Finals in 1995-96.
The Golden Knights were the dominant franchise in the Western Conference in the regular season, amassing 51 wins.
They routed the Dallas Stars in Game Six, 6-0, having withstood a determined fightback from the Stars after they initially trailed 0-3 in the series.
