From Saturday, 21 September to Sunday, 29 September, the 2024 UCI Road World Championships will cast a spell over the city and canton of Zurich.
Women’s Elite Individual Time Trial (Sunday, 22 September at 8.00p.m. AEST)
Starting in the municipality of Gossau, the Women’s Elite Individual Time Trial covers a distance of 29.9 km, before coming to an end at the Sechselautenplatz town square in Zurich.
Men’s Elite Individual Time Trial (Sunday, 22 September at 10.45pm AEST)
Covering 46.1 km, the Men’s Elite Individual Time Trial begins at the historic open race track in Zurich-Oerlikon and passes both Lakes Greifensee and Zurich before finishing at Sechselautenplatz.
Men’s U23 Road Race (Friday, 27 September at 8.45p.m. AEST)
The men’s U23 race starts in Uster and laps twice around Lake Greifensee before the climb towards Binz. Four laps on the city circuit follow, before the finish at Sechselautenplatz.
Women’s Elite Road Race (Saturday, 28 September at 8.45p.m. AEST)
Starting in Uster, the Women’s Elite Road Race covers a distance of 154.1 km on a track that includes a lap of Lake Greifensee and four laps of the city circuit that passes through Zurich.
