Ratings | Women’s Big Bash League goes big on Seven – 2025 competition up 28%, reaches 5.4 million
The Seven Network’s live and free coverage of this year’s Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) was a hit with sport fans, reaching 5.4 million people across Seven and 7plus Sport.
The Final on Saturday night, which saw the Hobart Hurricanes storm to victory over the Perth Scorchers, reached 1.24 million people nationally, with a total TV audience of 346,000, up 70% on last year’s Final and a record number for the WBBL on Seven.
This year’s WBBL drew its biggest TV audience in more than five years. Its national audience reach was up 22%, while the total TV audience jumped 28%. The number of people watching on 7plus Sport soared 189% compared to 2024.

Seven is having its best start to a summer of cricket ever, with the first two Ashes Tests averaging 1.19 million nationally in total TV, up 50% year-on-year, while streaming on 7plus Sport was up 212%.
Last night’s Big Bash League (BBL) clash between the Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat reached 2 million, with a total TV audience of 597, up 2% on the same match in 2024.
The Ashes continues tomorrow, with the Third Test at Adelaide Oval starting at 9.30am AEDT, live and free on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport.
