Kayo Sports makes Test decider’s opening session free tonight – Australian cricket fans can watch the first session of the men’s Test decider’s final day in South Africa without a paid Kayo subscription.
Kayo Sports is dropping its paywall for the opening session. Live coverage begins through Kayo Freebies at 7:00pm AEDT on Saturday 31 October. However, viewers will need to register their details with Kayo and follow the prompts to its Freebies section.
As a result, a wider Australian audience can follow the beginning of a potentially decisive run chase. The offer also showcases Kayo’s wider summer cricket coverage. Registration is required, but fans do not need a paid subscription for this session.
Australia’s chase begins at Newlands
Travis Head and Matt Renshaw will walk out together at Newlands Cricket Ground as Australia begins its pursuit of the target. The visitors need victory over the reigning World Test Champions on their home turf.
Head also carries a connection to the broadcast because he is a Kayo Sports ambassador. Meanwhile, Renshaw will join him at the top of the order for the opening passage of the final day.
Before play, Brendon Julian, David Warner, Kerry O’Keeffe and Mark Waugh will preview the final day from 7:00pm AEDT. Their build-up will then lead into the free first-session coverage.
Kayo Sports drops the paywall
Foxtel Group CEO – Streaming and Advertising Mark Frain said the circumstances made the final day an important occasion for Australian cricket supporters.
We recognised that this was going to be a memorable day for Australian sports fans, with our men’s Test side looking to stay in top spot on the Test rankings.
Mark Frain, Foxtel Group CEO – Streaming and Advertising
Frain said the series had already produced compelling cricket. Moreover, he expects the opening session to lift the contest again. Kayo wants fans around the country to join the action from the start of Australia’s chase.
This gives all sports fans across the country the chance to witness what we believe will be an iconic Aussie sport moment by dropping the paywall for the first session.
