Australia vs West Indies Women’s One Day International Series Live Saturday on ESPN – Australia Women’s tour of The West Indies continues with the first of three One Day Internationals live on ESPN this Saturday March 28.
Australia completed the first phase of the Caribbean tour with a clean sweep of the hosts in the three match Twenty20 series.
Attention now turns to the 50-over format with the first One Day International between Australia and the West Indies live on Saturday March 28 from 5am AEDT, live and exclusive to ESPN on Disney+.
Monday March 30 sees the Second One Day International at 5am AEDT, before the three-match 50 over series concludes on Friday April 3, also at 5am AEDT.
Australia will again look to the experience of Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry, who have performed strongly with bat in hand in the Caribbean.
Mooney has helped Australia seize control of the tour, smashing 79 in the first T20 with Perry blasting quickfire 36 (32) and 42 (28) in the T20 series, highlighting her all-round skills.
It was Georgia Voll though who stole all the headlines in the third T20 on Tuesday, with an incredible 101 off just 53 balls – her first T20 international century.
Alana King has shown her class on the turning wickets of the Caribbean, taking 3/14 and 2/25 across the T20 series.
Australia will hope their impressive Caribbean form translates to the 50-over version.
The West Indies have been led well by captain Hayley Matthews on the batting front, whilst Deandra Dottin has led the West Indies attack, with 3/35 in the first T20 against Australia. The all-rounder also adding 39* from 28 against the strong Australian bowling lineup.
Australia will look to remain undefeated across the tour, which is their first under new captain Sophie Molineux.
