Seven unveils first look at Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games coverage – Seven has released a first look at its prime time opener for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Games begin Friday, 24 July, live, free and exclusive on Seven and 7plus Sport. Seven’s coverage starts at 4.45am with the official opening ceremony from Glasgow.
The cinematic opener is headlined by Bruce McAvaney, Ariarne Titmus and Matt Shirvington. It is designed to celebrate the dedication, sacrifice and ambition of Australia’s athletes.
Australian medal hopes front Seven opener
The first look features several of Australia’s leading medal hopes and rising stars. They include Kyle Chalmers, Lani Pallister, Col Pearse, Lachie Kennedy, Cam Myers, Lexie Brown and Nina Kennedy.
Seven says the opener captures the drive behind the athletes as they prepare to chase Commonwealth Games glory on the international stage.
Live and free across Seven and 7plus Sport
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will feature 200 gold medals across 10 days of competition.
Seven says the Games will include the biggest track cycling and swimming programs in Commonwealth Games history. There will be 26 medal events in the velodrome and 56 medal events in the pool.
Viewers will be able to stream up to 15 exclusive live and free channels through 7plus Sport. Seven will also offer eight replay channels, on-demand events, event minis, trending highlights and key moments from across the Games.
