FIBA Men’s Basketball Cup 2023 on ESPN – A new FIBA Men’s World Cup champion will be crowned as United States, Serbia, Canada and Germany battle it out for international basketball’s biggest prize on ESPN.

The FIBA World Cup Men’s 2023 Semi Final games will be live and exclusive on Friday September 8, with back-to-back blockbusters setting up a huge night of international basketball.

Serbia will meet Canada in the first FIBA World Cup Semi Final tipping off at 6.45pm AEST on ESPN.

The European heavyweight booked their spot in the last four with a dominant 87-68 win over Lithuania.

Serbia romped through their first three games of the tournament, before falling to Italy in the second round. However, a stunning performance against the previously undefeated Lithuania now has them one win from the championship game.

Canada has their own FIBA World Cup championship dreams, having seen off Slovenia in their Quarter Final – led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 31 points.

Canada is hitting their stride at the business end of the tournament, and regardless of the Semi Final result, this will be Canada’s best performance for their men’s side at a FIBA World Cup.

They are the only side remaining in the tournament, without FIBA World Cup Semi Final experience.

The United States will face off with Germany in the second FIBA World Cup Semi Final, following live at 10.40pm AEST on ESPN.

Steve Kerr’s side responded to defeat to Lithuania in their final second round match, showing class to power past Italy 100-63 to secure a FIBA World Cup Semi Final berth.

After a Quarter Final defeat at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, the pre-tournament favourites overcame that hurdle this time around.

Germany continued their undefeated run in the tournament, downing Latvia 81-79 in a thrilling Quarter Final on Wednesday.

Germany have never finished higher than third place at a FIBA World Cup and have yet to drop a game to this point, impressing with victories over #3 ranked Australia and Slovenia.

The Bronze Medal Game and Championship Game will be live and exclusive Sunday September 10.

The Bronze Medal Game will be live at 6.30pm AEST, before the Championship Game follows at 10.40pm AEST – both live on ESPN.

ESPN’s star FIBA World Cup team of Neroli Meadows, Andrew Gaze, Trevor Gleeson, Kane Pitman, Bec Allen, Olgun Uluc and John Casey bring in-depth analysis and will have every angle covered of the FIBA World Cup Finals.

John Casey, Andrew Gaze and Trevor Gleeson will complete a stellar expert commentary team for the FIBA World Cup Semi Finals, Bronze Medal Match and Championship Game.

In a major win for Australian sporting fans, the Semi Finals, Third Place Game and the FIBA World Cup Final will be made available LIVE and FREE on ESPN via Kayo Freebies – which does not require a subscription.

Kayo Freebies can be accessed by downloading the Kayo Sports app or visiting www.kayosports.com.au/freebies

To unlock the action, fans simply create an account the same way they would for free-to-air streaming apps. Kayo Freebies is free to access, with no credit card details required.
