Australia have claimed the last two FIBA Asia Cup tournaments and remain unbeaten in Asia Cup play, holding a 12-0 record since entering the continental championship for the first time in 2017.
The Boomers have been placed in Group A alongside South Korea, Lebanon and Qatar.
Australia start their 2025 FIBA Asia Cup tournament on Wednesday August 6 against South Korea at 6pm AEST live on ESPN.

The Boomers have named a squad filled with fresh young talent and experienced ex-NBA stars who will look to continue their continental dominance including Xavier Cooks, Will Magnay, Dash Daniels, Jack McVeigh, Sean MacDonald, Owen Foxwell, Jaylin Galloway, Reyne Smith, Ben Henshall, Harry Wessels, William David Hickey and Jack White.
ESPN will also provide live coverage of the New Zealand Tall Blacks games at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
New Zealand’s campaign begins on Tuesday August 5 at 6pm AEST against Iraq. The Tall Blacks then play their remaining Pool Matches on Friday August 8 at 1am AEST against the Philippines and Sunday August 4 meeting Chinese Taipei.
ESPN’s comprehensive coverage of the tournament includes all Group games involving Australia and New Zealand, four FIBA Asia Cup Classification games, four FIBA Asia Cup Quarter Finals, Two FIBA Asia Cup Semi Finals, plus Third Place Classification and the FIBA Asia Cup Championship
game live. FIBA Minis will be available for all Australia and New Zealand group stage matches and 2025 FIBA Asia Cup games post the Group stage.
