Epic MLB World Series between Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays set for thrilling finale live on ESPN – The 2025 Major League Baseball World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays has provided some historic moments already and the stage is set for a thrilling conclusion with Game Six and potential Game Seven live this weekend on ESPN.
The star-studded Los Angeles Dodgers were the heavy favourites heading into the 2025 World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, but Toronto have claimed the last two games to lead the series 3-2 and force the Dodgers into a must-win scenario in Saturday’s Game Six.
The Toronto Blue Jays enjoy home field advantage, with the final two matches in the 2025 World Series heading to Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Game Six in the best of seven series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays is live on ESPN on Saturday November 1 at 11am AEDT.
The deciding Game Seven, if required, will follow live on Sunday November 2 at 11am AEDT live on ESPN.
Toronto took a 3-2 World Series lead after winning Game Four and Game Five away from home in Los Angeles.
Thursday’s Game Five victory was secured after an explosive start by Toronto that saw Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit home runs in the opening innings.
Once they had the advantage, Toronto was not going to let it slip, prevailing 6-1 in another comprehensive victory.
The 2025 World Series has already set records, with Tuesday’s Game Three now the longest World Series game in Major Leage Baseball history, extending to eighteen innings.
Freddie Freeman’s 18th inning walk-off home run eventually got the Los Angeles Dodgers home, in an instant classic.
The superstars are delivering in spades this series, with Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani and Toronto Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr setting new records.
Shohei Ohtani had three RBIs, three runs scored and two home runs, in Game Three, getting on base an astonishing nine times.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr has also set a franchise record for the most post-season runs.
Toronto’s rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage also set a new record for most strikeouts by a rookie in a World Series game, as part of a stellar performance in Game Five.
Should Toronto prevail in Saturday’s Game Six, it will secure just a third World Series triumph since back-to-back World Series wins in 1992 and 1993.
It would also bring an end to Los Angeles’ hold of the Major League Baseball crown, with the Dodgers hoping to defend the championship they won last season.
It is a World Series that will be fondly remembered regardless of the final result and there may still be an exciting twist in the tale to come.
