WAFL and SANFL State Football Showdown – The Seven Network is set to showcase the return of State football rivalry, with Western Australia taking on South Australia in a blockbuster WAFL v SANFL showdown at Sullivan Logistics Stadium this Saturday, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.
Featuring the best of the WAFL and SANFL, the clash headlines a historic day for State football, with three matches scheduled for the first time – including men’s and women’s fixtures, alongside an U18s v U20s showcase of the next generation of talent from both states.
Western Australia enters the contest full of confidence following last year’s drought-breaking win in Adelaide, their first victory over South Australia in seven years, which saw them reclaim the Haydn Bunton Jr Cup. The result added a new chapter to one of football’s fiercest rivalries, now in its 101st year.
