The Brownlow Medal on Channel 7 – AFL’s night of nights set to sparkle. The Brownlow Medal, Monday, 25 September only on Seven and 7plus.

The 2023 Charles Brownlow Medal is promising to be one of the most nail-biting of recent times and the Seven Network will be there to deliver every glittering moment on Monday, 25 September, when the winner of the AFL’s highest individual honour is declared.

In a year headlined by a talented-stacked group of elite contenders, the Brownlow race is wide open, with leading competitors Nick Daicos, Marcus Bontempelli, Christian Petracca, Lachie Neale and Zak Butters almost impossible to split.

Seven’s exclusive, live and free coverage begins at 7.30pm AEST Monday on Channel 7, 7mate and – for the first time on all devices – 7plus. It will be hosted by 7AFL host and commentator, Hamish McLachlan and 7NEWS Melbourne’s Rebecca Maddern, direct from Crown Melbourne.

Monday night’s festivities will kick off with the Brownlow Medal Red Carpet, hosted by Abbey Gelmi, with Dale Thomas and Emma Freedman, as they cover all the glitz and glamour of Australian football’s night of nights.

In a bonus for footy fans across the country, Seven has made its exclusive coverage of the Brownlow Medal and 2023 AFL Grand Final more accessible than ever before, with both major events available to watch live, free and in HD* on 7plus across all devices.

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, Lewis Martin, said:

“From the glamour of the red carpet, through to the thrilling final vote count, the Seven Network is rapt to deliver another epic Brownlow Medal broadcast to all Australians, live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus,” he said.

“As we’ve seen in recent years, the Brownlow Medal is often unpredictable, and this year is no different. With young guns Nick Daicos and Zak Butters making a huge impact in their second and fifth seasons respectively, alongside the likes of the competition’s most experienced players in Marcus Bontempelli and Christian Petracca, we are set for a nail-biting finish.

“Together with the entire network, Seven has once again assembled a team that will bring viewers all the night’s biggest stories and historic moments, as they happen,” Mr Martin said.

“With new broadcast integrations and technology – including the state-of-the-art Sparklebot slow motion camera on the red carpet – it’s sure to be a night like no other on Seven and 7plus, Your Home of Footy.”

The Brownlow Medal marks the start of the year’s biggest week of football on Seven as Australia counts down to the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, 30 September. Seven will announce full details of its Grand Final week coverage in the coming days.

All episodes of Talking Finals, The Front Bar and Armchair Experts will be available for streaming on the AFL Hub on 7plus, along withmatch previews and reviews, plus interviews, bonus player access and features on demand.
