Hutchison: “You’ve got this pot of money that’s sign on bonus. Do you think, philosophically, it’s better spent on fewer players with a lot of money who move the needle, or do you feel the obligation to thin it out for your culture? Because, you know, someone like Nick (Daicos) might want half that, for instance.”
Gale: “We’ve got a list management team who are a much better place than me to make those assessments Hutch. But philosophically, I’m probably more on the latter. AFL football isn’t without risk, we’ve got head trauma type issues to be aware of as well. So putting all your stocks in one player is not without risk. So, anyway, make of that what you will.”
